Clay is one of the lightest material to make the sculpture. in kinder gardens the clay is given as the toy for the children's to play. The other materials are the plaster of Paris. But the person must be well trained to use it. There are also some type of sands which are used as the clay. In India during the ganesh chaturthi some people use sand to make idol of god ganesha . As they can be dumped in the water after the end of the celebration. But the as beginner one use clay as it is simple and light material for the sculpture.
