A kind of model wherein the figures are exhibited in complete three-dimensional structure and are not appended to a level foundation (in contrast to help). The essential kinds of model in the round are statues, busts, and sculptural gatherings. Figure in the round can be seen either from one distinct or a few vantage focuses. It can likewise be seen from all sides, giving the watcher a few reciprocal points of view. Sculptures like ceramic statues, ceramic pots are also forms of sculpture in round.
It is a type of the sculpture which represents the complete three dimensional forms to a flat background. This is basically the statues. The worked may be viewed from only from one or two fixed position. In the 20th century the sculpture is not concerned with the movement of this kind. Nor it is designs in such way like from one point view or the two point view. The free standing sculpture makes the contact with the ground plane and appears to be rooted. Other sculpture is supported in space or in the contact with ground with little support. This sculpture are designed to stand against the wall.
I'd like to add to Manasi's answer and say that sculpture in the round can be viewed from different vantage points. Every vantage will show you a different detail! No side of sculpture can be missed; these sculptures are made to be viewed from every angle. My favorite example of sculpture in the round is Raffaelle Monti's Veiled Vestal.
There are two basic types of sculpture are relief sculpture and sculpture in the round. Relief sculpture is flatter and is often attached to a wall or some flat surface. Sculptures in the round are freestanding sculptures like statues, busts, etc.
